Facials, Fondue, and Faith-Filled Fellowship

On October 15, our Women’s Social Committee, along with Steph and Maria—our FOCUS missionaries—hosted Facials and Fondue, a women’s event generously sponsored by Steph’s sister. As a Mary Kay director, she provided sample products for us to enjoy, including face masks and eye masks, creating a free spa day experience. It was a huge success!
Over sixty women showed up, filling the missionaries’ backyard with laughter and conversation—some familiar faces, and many new ones. One thing they all had in common, however, was their visible joy. A group of freshmen I had met during Welcome Week were also there, and I was able to see how close they’ve become since meeting just a couple of months ago.
It’s moments like those that make me feel so fulfilled in the work I do. Not many people get to see the fruits of their labor so clearly, but I’m blessed to serve in a place where growth happens every day. As I continue to do my best to build community, I ask for your prayers that Catholic Noles becomes a resting place for the weary—a place to meet Christ and lay down life’s burdens to sit with Him and those who are also pursuing Him.
