Q: I’m new to Catholic Noles. Where do I start?

A: Start by completing our student registration form (Start Here)! Once you register, you can connect with our Catholic Noles GroupMe, where we share weekly events, announcements, and opportunities to get involved. You can also pull up to a student Mass or one of our weekly events—we would love to meet you!

The Catholic Student Union is located at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More at 900 W. Tennessee Street, directly across from Florida State University. Our student lounge is in the parish hall next to the church; enter through the doors of the yellow building, check in at the front desk, and head down the hall to the right to visit our student lounge, study lounge, and office.

Q: Who can participate in Catholic Noles?

A: Catholic Noles welcomes undergraduate students from Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee State College. You do not have to be Catholic to attend our events. Whether you have been Catholic your entire life, are returning to your faith, are interested in becoming Catholic, or simply have questions, there is a place for you here.

Graduate students and dual-enrolled high school students are also welcome at St. Thomas More through programs offered by the parish.

Q: What are the Mass and Confession times?

A: Catholic Noles Student Masses are celebrated every Sunday during the school year at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More. All St. Thomas More Sunday Masses are listed HERE

There is also offers daily Mass, Adoration, and confession throughout the week:

Daily Mass:

• Monday–Friday at 7:00 AM and 5:15 PM (5:15 PM Mass is only when FSU is in session)

• Saturday Daily Mass: 8:00 AM

 

Adoration: 

• Tuesday-Friday at 9 AM in the chapel

• Monday–Thursday at 4:10 PM in the church

Confession:

• Saturday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Confessions are sometimes held at other times during the school year; check the GroupMe for more information or contact one of our priests for an appointment

Q: What kinds of events does Catholic Noles offer?

A: Something is always happening at the Catholic Student Union! Catholic Noles offers Tuesday’s Nole Night, our primary gathering night each week; Sunday student Masses and community gatherings; Bible studies; service opportunities; social events; retreats; pilgrimages; conferences; and special events throughout the year.

Weekly events are posted on our website (Events), with additional information and updates shared in the Catholic Noles GroupMe.

Q: What opportunities are there to grow in my faith?

A: Catholic Noles offers many ways to deepen your relationship with Christ and learn more about the Catholic faith, including:

• Sunday and daily Mass
• Eucharistic Adoration and Confession
• Small-group Bible studies
• Nole Night and other faith-centered programs
• Retreats, pilgrimages, and conferences (SEEK!)
• Many service opportunities
• Support for students interested in learning more about or becoming Catholic

You do not need to have everything figured out before getting involved. Wherever you are in your faith, you are welcome to begin there.

Q: Can I study and spend time at the Catholic Student Union?

A: Yes! The Catholic Student Union is meant to be a home away from home where students can study, spend time with friends, pray, and grow in their faith together. Students are welcome to use the CSU building during office hours and are encouraged to make it their own. Our student lounge is in the parish hall next to the church; enter through the doors of the yellow building, check in at the front desk, and head down the hall to the right to visit our student lounge, study lounge, and office.

Q: Why should I get involved with Catholic Noles?

A: College is about more than earning a degree—it is also a time to discover who you are and who God is calling you to become. Catholic Noles offers a Christ-centered community where you can be seen, loved, and understood while building friendships that can last long beyond college.

Most importantly, it is a place to encounter Jesus Christ through the Sacraments, grow in your Catholic faith, serve others, and find a supportive home away from home. There is a place here for you.
