Building a Legacy of Faith
The Catholic Student Union (CSU) is thrilled to announce an exciting new step toward long-term stability and growth for campus ministry. CSU has officially established an agency endowment fund through the Community Foundation of North Florida (CFNF), creating a lasting resource to support Catholic students at Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee State College for generations to come.

For years, CSU has relied on annual gifts to fund its retreats, outreach, and daily ministry to students. These gifts are vital — they keep our programs vibrant and strong today. But as we look toward the future, we know it’s also important to build a foundation for tomorrow. That’s where the new endowment comes in.

“This is about planting seeds that will bear fruit for decades,” says Sam Nunnally, CSU’s Director of Campus Ministry.

Through this partnership with CFNF, donors can contribute to the endowment knowing their gifts will be professionally managed and invested. Each year, a portion of the fund’s growth will be distributed back to CSU to support ongoing ministry, while the principal remains intact — continuing to grow over time.

“CSU’s decision to establish an endowment at the Community Foundation of North Florida demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring its mission endures for generations,” says Katrina Rolle, President and CEO of CFNF. “As a CFNF fundholder, CSU will benefit from professional investment management and dedicated support, securing long-term sustainability for its work. Just imagine the possibilities these unrestricted funds will make possible in the years ahead as CSU continues to provide spiritual formation, fellowship, and service opportunities to students.”
This first step began with a $50,000 seed investment, symbolizing a shared commitment to CSU’s future. As the fund grows through contributions from alumni, parents, and friends, it will become a powerful tool for sustaining campus ministry, even in times of economic uncertainty.

“We invite everyone who believes in CSU’s mission to consider how they might be part of this legacy,” shares Gloria Luna Moorman, Director of Development. “Your gift today helps us serve students now — and your endowment gift ensures this ministry thrives for generations to come.”
