Welcome week 2025: Faith Friendship, and Belonging
Every August, Catholic Noles comes alive with the energy of new and returning students ready to dive into campus life. Welcome Week is our way of making sure every student feels welcomed and connected from the very start.

Throughout the week, Catholic Noles create opportunities for students to encounter Christ through community—sometimes over a game of frisbee, sometimes in a conversation after Mass, always in ways that feel natural and authentic.
This year’s Welcome Week highlights include:

-
Sports on Landis Green – An easy, fun way for students to meet each other while enjoying the Florida sunshine.
-
BBQ & Music at St. Thomas More – Great food, great music, and the start of great friendships.
-
New Nole Kick-Off – A day of connection with campus ministers, student leaders, and peers who share their faith and values.
-
Catholic Noles Student Mass – A joyful celebration to close the week, grounding students in prayer and community.

Welcome Week is more than just icebreakers and events—it’s the launchpad for a year of growth in faith, friendship, and leadership. The memories made in these first days often blossom into relationships and spiritual habits that last long after graduation. And every smile, every conversation, every moment of welcome reflects the mission we all share—to help students live their Catholic faith fully during their college years and beyond.
This year’s Welcome Week also revealed a remarkable hunger for the Sacraments. Eighty-four students have expressed interest in Confirmation and First Communion, with 25 seeking Baptism. For perspective, last year’s class was about 35 in total. The Holy Spirit is clearly at work among our students, thanks to your prayers and support. We are humbled by your confidence as we walk with them on this journey of faith. Thank you for helping us welcome students into a community where faith, friendship, and belonging take root and grow.
