Nole Night at 7:27
On Tuesday evenings at exactly 7:27 p.m., the Catholic Student Union comes alive. Speakers click on, conversations spark, and the lounge and social hall fill with students eager to unwind, meet new friends, and just be.

Music sets the tone—this year with the joyful talent of Sr. Isabelle, whose voice has become part of the Noles Night soundtrack. Some students drift toward games or conversation circles; others linger and cozy up on the couch. However they land, the experience is the same: welcome.

“The air is friendly,” one student said with a smile.

That simple phrase captures the heart of Nole Night. It’s relaxed and relational, built on the belief that a healthy community needs time to laugh, talk, and be known. And students are showing up: participation is up 30% over last semester. That growth reflects what so many are seeking—connection that feels real.

Every other week, the night’s soundtrack quiets and students are invited into Adoration and Confession. The transition from social hour to sacred hour is seamless: the same friends who share a table also kneel together before the Lord. It’s a rhythm that grounds the week—joy that flows naturally into prayer, and prayer that sends everyone back to campus with peace.
“Community and encounter belong together,” says the team that coordinates Nole Night. “We want students to find a home where they can laugh freely and also meet Jesus in the Eucharist. That’s the whole point.”

Why 7:27?

Students picked the start time—7:27—for one simple reason: it’s memorable. It’s also become a quiet reminder of Psalm 27—“The Lord is my light and my salvation”—a fitting motto for evenings that begin with laughter and often end in prayer.

If you know of someone new to campus or someone who hasn’t visited in a while, Nole Night is an easy way to connect. Encourage others to come on their own or bring a friend, pull up a chair, and discover what students mean when they say the air is friendly. There’s room for everyone here—every Tuesday at 7:27.
